10 x 10 RENTING TENT
We have managed to squeeze all 10x10s on bishop before 8th, we thought we might go into the intersection.
If you get this, you can come in (keep your east or west) but using the 8th street instead of Melba.
If you don't get this and come in on Melba, no worries, you'll be just fine =)
Again, this is for 10x10 full size tent renting from us update.

Auction Item
There have been some questions regarding Auction Items
1. Do I have to bring one? YES, it's mandatory
2. What does the value need to be? We suggest no lower than $25.00, however we will leave that up to you, it's for a local Art Mentor Program
3. What do I bring with my Auction Item? A piece of paper, attached somehow that state:
Item Designer/Artist Name, Value of Item, Brief Description
4. Can vendors bid on the auction items, HELL YES!
5. When does the auction end? 3pm Sunday, it's a silent Auction that goes both days, you must not be present to win.
6. Where do we turn in our auction items? You will hand them to the volunteer when you pull up, you will NOT be permitted to check in without it (unless you have already dropped it off to Make), so have it out and ready, we don't have time after check-in to chase them down =)

A few announcements
So it appears that TX/OU has taken EVERY ATM, in the city and doubled the price of portable toilets!! If you know anyone that owns or rents ATMS, please email us themakesite@gmail.com asap as we were just informed that our regular ATM folks will not be delivering. =( We are doing our best to accommodate, but we encourage all of you to plan for possibly not having one available.
Final Email Push, tomorrow our final press and public emails go out, promoting the event and final details, please do a final email to your lists, change your FB ICON to our logo, the more people see it, the more people come! When you arrive, check-in on FourSquare to the event and share with your friends.
Don't assume that because everyone else is doing it, we don't need you, we need everyone!
Just 3 days left! We are ready and can't wait to see all of you!

Dude, Sweet Chocolate! will be offering 20% off any purchase to vendors!
CHECK IN INFORMATION - READ CAREFULLY!
Here is the check - in information for vendors. There are changes from previous shows, ready carefully.
Please note, we really do mean no exceptions, so plan ahead.
Please note that with almost 90 vendors, check in will take patience and strict following of the information/guidelines. Be very careful that you are checking in at the right place, everything is moving in one direction and a wrong line could cost you quite a bit of time, as there is no where to back up and turn around.
You will need to pull through the exact entrance given here, this is the only way you will be able to pull in front of your space to unload.
Once you park in front of your space, you have 10 minutes to unload all your goods in your space, DO NOT BEGIN SET UP!, then pull your car out of the barricaded area and park within the neighborhood. Pull as close to your tent as possible, sometimes cars can squeeze by.
Please park a block or two away, leaving close parking for attendees. Do NOT park in the Bishop Arts District parking spots or parking lots, these are for the area businesses and we must respect their parking spaces. We also have the parking lot reserved for vendors at 8th & Zang (this is 2 blocks from the fair)
Check-in traffic will be ONE WAY, officers will be there to ENFORCE this, so please do not try coming in the other direction, this includes alleys, they are exit only.
CHECK IN IS DIFFERENT THAN SHOWS PRIOR! WE have more tents than we have ever had, so please read this carefully, in fact, we recommend printing it and highlighting your section.
At your assigned intersection with BISHOP (such as Melba and Bishop or 8th and Bishop) ,you will be greeted (remain in your vehicle) by a check-in Volunteer who will provide you with your check in information, review the options you signed up for, and then you will be provided with your space number. Those of you using our credit card services will receive your credit card instructions and books and a copy of the stamp we will be using.
PLEASE REMAIN LINED UP (in your vehicle) on the left side of the street so thru traffic is not blocked!
DO NOT LINE UP ON BISHOP OR ANY OTHER STREET NOT MENTIONED HERE, this will cause delays in set up.
10 x 10 - YOUR OWN TENT - Check in time: 9:00 – 10:00am You will come in via 8th street on the EAST or West side of Bishop, this means you will take ADAMS or MADISON to 8th and 8th to Bishop. You will be guided by a volunteer and then exit using the alley or 7th Street.

10x5 HALF TENT - Check in time: 10 - 11am You will come in via MELBA on the WEST or EAST side of Bishop, this means you will take Adams or Madison to 8th and 8th to Bishop. You will be taking a LEFT or RIGHT onto Bishop, then exiting at 8th , volunteers will direct you out.
TABLE SPACE - YOUR OWN TABLE in a 6x5 Space- Check in time: 10:30 - 11:00am You will come in via MELBA on the WEST or EAST side of Bishop, this means you will take Adams or Madison to 8th and 8th to Bishop. Volunteers will guide you onto Bishop, then exiting at 8th ,volunteers will direct you out.

There are often still quite a few shoppers within the barricade and we will not allow cars in until we can clear the crowd, which often includes children. Tear down happens just like set up, but in reverse. You must pack up everything and be ready to load in before getting your car, you have 10 minutes once you pull in to load up and pull out. If you are using our tent, please lower the legs to the lowest position we will take care of the rest. If you have your own tent, please tear everything down on Saturday evening. The city does not permit us to leave anything overnight.
Electricity will be set up by Noon, be patient please. NO HIGH WATTAGE and we will check if you have signed up for electric. Business cards/flyers - Flyers for events or promotions that are not directly affiliated with our vendors or the Urban Bazaar are NOT permitted. For example, flyers for an estate sale you are having next week or another event of a friend or organization. Sponsors and Vendor promotions ONLY.
Trading is common among vendors, however be courteous about it. Offer a trade without any pressure, as the other vendor just may not be in a position to trade or may not have a need for what you have. The best way to say it is: " I am with this booth, I am up for a trade if that interests you." Leave it at that, don't put anyone in the position to say yes or no right away, they will come to your booth and check it out if they can.
Theft - Generally not an issue, however if you see a problem, let us know via the cashier booth or one of our volunteers or an officer. Do not over-react, just let us know and we'll take care of it.
WEIGHT YOUR TENT with your displays, tables, etc. Using twine or zip ties. It might be windy, so be sure to weight your product as well.
More information to post this week as we deem necessary. Be sure to check this blog through Friday!
